FamilyPostureEvaluation |
|
Recent research provides ample evidence that posture is indeed the window to the spine. If your posture or the posture of your family members is out of alignment then the spine is out of alignment. These subluxations are putting unhealthy strains upon the nervous system. These subluxations can result from accidents at home and at work, physical traumas like car accidents or sport injuries and even the process of being born can result in misalignment of the spine. At Swick Chiropractic Center we are devoted to getting you and your family members back to optimal posture. Optimal posture is the vital key to optimal health. Early detection and elimination of subluxation can lead to the good health and feeling of well being that is essential to every stage of human development. |

Please take a moment to use the images provided on this page to observe and record the posture of each member of your family. These images may be printed. (Click on image for a larger version.)Instructions: Select an observer to record the findings of the posture evaluation. Participants: 1. Family members stand with their feet shoulder width apart and their toes parallel. 2. Next close your eyes and nod your head back and forth twice. 3. Keep your eyes closed for 10 seconds while the observer checks the levels of your shoulders and hips. Observer: 1. Stand facing the participant. 2. Lightly place your index finger on top of the family member's shoulders. 3. Note if there is one shoulder higher. 4. Next, place your index finger on top of the family member's hip. 5.
